Chief Justice orders removal of over-sized billboards in Lahore

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday ordered removal of billboards beyond the approved standard size in Lahore.
He issued this order while hearing cases in Supreme Court’s Lahore registry.
The chief justice issued a notice to the director general of the parks and horticulture authority in this connection.
He said that it was the responsibility of the civil administration to keep the city clean.

It is pertinent here to mention that two years ago the apex court had indefinitely banned billboards and hoardings on residential buildings in Karachi.
