GHOTKI: Four members of a family were burnt alive while two others sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out in a house in Ubauro city late on Saturday night.
Rescue sources said the fire erupted in the house in Ubauro’s Jamal Panhwar village when members of the family were asleep. As a result, four siblings were charred to death while two women sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, a rescue official said, and added that the victim children ranged in age from three to nine years.
Earlier, six children of a family were burnt to death when a fire had broken out in a house here in Khyber Pakhunkhwa.
The blaze engulfed the house situated in Dogdara village of Babozai Payen area, killing six siblings including five sisters and a brother while they were asleep.
