Chris Cairns denies corruption allegations

TOP NEWS

AUCKLAND: Former New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns has denied match fixing and corruption allegations against him, ARY News reports on Tuesday.

"I have never been a part of corruption in my life", Cairns said.

New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum had said that “Player-X” had approached him to fix matches. Former Kiwi batsman Lou Vincent had also said that he was offered money by an undisclosed player to cheat in cricket matches.

The former Kiwi all rounder said that the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit of International Cricket Council (ICC) is investigating the matter due to which he has come under suspicion.

It should be noted that Cairns had won a match fixing case against the former Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Lalit Modi.
