Christmas celebrations at their heights

Christmas is being celebrated worldwide today with religious fervour and passion.

The most important event for Christians around the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ (A.S). Special prayers are held at churches and Christmas cakes are the way to express the joy of this day.

Strict security measures have been made for the prayers and ceremonies being held at churches across Pakistan.

The nation along with members of the Parliament also takes part in the festivities. Parliamentarians also pass their congratulations to the Christian communities in Pakistan on the occasion. Two way harmony not only display religious harmony but is also a reason of goodwill and peace in the country.

President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have sent their greetings to the Christians in separate messages.

Colourful decorations have been made at churches across the country. Christians present each other with gifts, cakes and sweetmeats on the joyous occasion.
