CM Murad admits lack of security arrangements at Sehwan shrine

SEHWAN: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Sunday admitted over the lack of security arrangements and police presence at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar resulting in the terror attack.
The chief minister speaking to media during a visit to the shrine said that it was not the appropriate time for blaming each other, but rather to stand united against the terrorists.
“This is not the right time to rub salt in the wounds of the victims,” he said. Murad said that it was wrongly reported that there was no hospital within ninety kilometers of the shrine.
He said that Sehwan has taluka level hospital but it was not equipped to handle the large number of casualties and injured. He thanked the Pakistan Army and Navy for their assistance in handling the medical emergencies.
CM Sindh paid tribute for those lost their lives in the barbaric attack and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He expressed immense displeasure that the remains of the victims were found in the drains and a nearby garbage dump.
He revealed that several arrests have been made regarding the Sehwan attack, and security agencies will reach in the depth of the matter. He said that the shrine will not be closed for the devotees despite all security concerns.
