KARACH: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the construction work on University Road and Tariq Road in the city.
The chief minister without informing the concerned officers of Karachi Package visited University Road. He inspected quality and progress of work from Hassan Square to Karachi University.

He went up to University of Karachi and then took U- turn and went towards Gulistan-i-Jauhar and visited roads there.
Murad also directed the relevant district municipal corporation to get the encroachments cleared and remove debris and garbage lying along the road.
He returned from Jauhar Chowrangi and visited the other side of University Road. He directed project director Karachi Package to gear up the work, said a CM House statement.
The chief minister also visited Tariq Road and inspected progress of work. The work on both sides of Tariq Road has been completed from Allahwali Chowrangi to Café Liberty signal. From Café Liberty upward work is still in progress, the CM House release said.
