COAS lauds ASCC's contributions during operations, peacetime

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Army Service Corps Centre (ASCC) in Nowshera on Thursday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the visit, Major General Mushtaq Ahmed Faisal was installed as Colonel Commandant of Army Service Corps, reads a statement issued by military’s public affairs wing.

A large number of serving and retired army officers attended the ceremony held at ASCC in Nowshera.

Talking to officers of services corps and the guests, COAS appreciated contributions of the corps both during peacetime and operations by providing logistics support.

COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa also laid floral wreath at martyrs’ monument upon arrival.

Pakistan army wins gold medal in Cambrian Patrol competition

The Pakistan Army team, on October 19, had won gold medal for the fourth consecutive time, in the world’s toughest Cambrian Patrol competition held in Wales, United Kingdom.

The eleven member Pakistani team was from a Battalion of Northern Light Infantry hailing from Gilgit-Baltistan, ISPR had said.

According to the details, 134 teams from 31 countries participated in the two weeks long competition which started on October 8.
