TOP NEWS

What do you expect when you start off a song with the legendary Farida Khanum and throw in Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam, Arif Lohar, Ali Haider and Ali Azmat? A collaboration for the ages! The two-minute Coke Studio promo is delightful, soulful and melodious with a soft touch that evokes your emotional feelings to no end.

It was heartwarming to see Pakistan’s musicians who are the face of pop music, such as Ali Haider, Atif and Ali Zafar croon this wonderful track. Anwar Maqsood chips in with an emotional dialogue, reminding us all that Pakistan was an act of God hence He will ensure its protection. After the soulful, powerful dialogue delivered by Anwar Maqsood in his signature soft yet alluring voice, other musicians take it upon themselves to carry the song towards its short conclusion.

There’s not much you can do to a melodious yet simple song such as Sohni Dharti. And that is exactly how Coke Studio went about it. By keeping the soft touch of the song intact, the blend of various artists of note gave the song a magical touch. When one is absolutely delighted hearing Ali Zafar bend the song with his wonderful voice, Ali Zafar ups the ante by lending his voice to the track.
