Coldplay's new music video features taxi designed by Pakistani artist

It’s certainly not a small achievement and Pakistani designer Samya Arif can certainly be proud of it. Coldplay’s latest single Hymn For The Weekend features Beyonce and Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, but that’s not all. The globally popular band’s lead singer Chris Martin can be seen in the music video sitting inside a taxi, which was designed by a Pakistani designer!

When Pakistani designer Samya Arif was invited to take part in the Taxi Fabric’s Independence Day project in Mumbai, little did she know her art would go on to feature in Coldplay’s music video. Sankeet Alvani, who initiate the project, uploaded a post on Facebook and tagged the Pakistani artist, much to her jubilation.

Samya was also ecstatic and thanked Alvani profusely:-

Throughout the music video, shots of the taxi art can be seen as Chris Martin sings to the music. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor can also be seen in the music video of the song for a few brief seconds. Beyonce also stars in the music video of the song.

Another proud moment for a Pakistani! Let’s hope we get to see Samya design some more awesome stuff that gets international recognition.
