I have unconditional faith in finality of Prophethood: Zahid Hamid releases video message

ISLAMABAD: Law Minister Zahid Hamid in a video message to the nation has said he completely and unconditionally believed in finality of Prophet Muhammed (SAWW), ARY News reported.

He also read out the oath that every Muslim election candidate must take under the Constitution.

“I, Zahid Hamid, take oath that I completely and unconditionally believe in finality of the last Prophet Muhammed (SAWW) and that I am not a follower of any such person who, after Prophet Muhammed (SAWW), has been claimant of being the messenger through its definition or interpretation of any form, neither I accept such a claimant as a messenger.

“Neither I am Qadiani nor I belong to Lahori Group nor I call myself Ahmadi. This is the oath that’s part of the law. You know that under the Constitution of Pakistan Qadiani, Ahmadi and Lahori Group have been declared non-Muslims.

“I would like to further say that I love Prophet Muhammed (SAWW) from the core of my heart. I am a devotee of Rasool (SAWW) and me and my family are ready to sacrifice lives in honor and respect of Prophet Muhammed (SAWW),” he said.

It is apropos to mention that this video statement has been released to clarify the law minister’s position on Khatam-e-Nubuwwat (finality of Prophethood) after the government’s crackdown sparked countrywide protests and situation went out of control.
