Cop, infant among four killed in Karachi violence

Unknown persons barged into a house at Jamali Goth area and opened indiscriminate fire due to which a six month old child and its father were killed while the mother was gravely injured.

A police officer identified as Saifullah was gunned down outside his office at New Karachi Industrial Area while another cop was injured while resisting a robbery at Tariq Road.

One man was shot dead while resisting a mugging attempt at Baldia Town.

Meanwhile, two Lyari gangsters were killed in an encounter at Machar Colony. They were wanted to the authorities for several criminal offences. Weapons and hand grenades were recovered from the slain bandits.

Two criminals, who were injured during an exchange of fire with the law enforcement agencies, were arrested near Pakistan Bazaar.
