Court extends remand of former finance advisor Balochistan

NAB officials produced Khalid Lango before the court in a corruption case hearing today after completion of the remand.

The court on the request of NAB officials extended remand of the former advisor finance for 14 days.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Khalid Lango from Balochistan High Court premises after the court rejected his bail petition.

It is pertinent to mention here that after arrest of the former secretary finance Mushtaq Raisani, finance advisor Khalid Lango had tendered his resignation and offered himself for the probe. But, he failed to appear before the anti-corruption watchdog when he was summoned repeatedly and reportedly went into hiding.

NAB in a raid at the house of Mushtaq Raisani in the first week of May had captured a treasure worth 730 million rupees apart from gold, prize bonds and documents of properties in posh areas in several cities across Pakistan.
