The court on Saturday resumed hearing of the case, during which it expressed lack of confidence on the report submitted by the police. Justice Kausar Ali Bukhari expressed his immense displeasure as the police officials pleaded for some more time in order to execute the arrest orders.
The ATC expressed distrust over police and instead ordered the home secretary Sindh to ensure the arrest of all the accused including Mir Shakil ur Rehman.
A case was filed against Jang/Geo group owner, Mir Shakil, Shaista Lodhi, Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain, Veena Malik and Asad Bashir Khattak, for committing blasphemy of Ahle Bait (RA).
The court over continuous absence of the accused had issued their arrest warrants, however the police also failed to execute the orders.
