BRISBANE: Current and former cricketers have lauded Pakistani batsman Asad Shafiq over his fighting performance with the bat in the first test match against Australia at Brisbane, ARY News reported.
Asad Shafiq’s knock of 137 runs from 207 deliveries brought the side close to a record chase of 490 runs in the test match. However, the team fell just 39 runs short of a famous victory.
His efforts for winning the match for his team was praised by cricketers across the world.
