ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has said that democracy is not possible in the country without free and fair elections, ARY News reports on Monday.
Speaking to media outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) building, Imran Khan claimed that his party accepted the results of General Elections, held on May 11, only due to the situation of the country that time.
Imran Khan, while expressing his concerns of large scale rigging in the Local Bodies (LB) Elections in Balochistan, stated that the country does not need such polls that are rigged.
While pointing fingers at the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), PTI Chairman stated that the party gets stay orders when the Election Tribunal orders a recount of the polls. He questioned that why PML-N is scared when they are convinced that they won the elections in a fair manner.
