DG Rangers meets CM Sindh, briefs on targeted operations

A statement released from Chief Minister House said that DG Rangers Sindh Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar called on Syed Qaim Ali Shah today and discussed targeted operation in the city and the law and order situation.

DG Rangers briefed the chief minister about progress in Karachi operation and said that the operation being conducted without any discrimination and bias, sources said.

The Karachi operation initiated in September 2013 on the directives of the federal government was to curb targeted killings, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and other heinous crimes. The primary objective of the operation was to bring to task the criminals pointed out by the agencies in view of the deteriorating law and order situation in Pakistan’s largest city and economic hub.
