DGMO dismisses Indian allegations of Pakistan’s involvement in Uri attack


The hotline contact between DGMOs of India and Pakistan was made today afternoon in which situation of Line of Control also came under discussion, Inter Services Public Relations said.

DGMO Pakistan said Indian allegations about Pakistan’s involvement in Uri attack were before time. If India had any evidence in this regard it should provide so that Pakistan could take action, ISPR reported.

The DGMO said Pakistan’s territory was not being used for terrorist activities in India.

Earlier, today four militants carrying guns and grenades stormed an army base in Uri area of Indian Occupied Kashmir, killing at least 17 soldiers.

India has imposed curfew for the last 72 days in held Kashmir and martyred over 100 Kashmiri citizens in recent spree of protests that erupted following death of Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Wani.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said: “Indian Army is massacring Kashmiris; as you sow, so shall you reap. Don’t rule out inside job to malign Azadi movement, by blaming Pakistan.”
