But, it is being speculated that the film could have release issues in Pakistan because of the news that it has got some anti-Pakistan content.

Those who have seen the trailer of the film Dishoom must have heard terms such as ISI, Pakistan, and Wagah border, regardless of the context, of course, they have been used.

During a recent promotional event for the film, Varun Dhawan’s brother and also Dishoom’s director, Rohit Dhawan spoke about the plot of the film, where Varun also grabbed his chance to explain that Dishoom has not depicted a negative image of Pakistan.

“I would like to clear this. There is no negative reference against Pakistan or any community,” he explained. “It is a very positive representation. In fact, what we are trying to show is that for certain people, money is their religion. It’s not being an Indian, Pakistani, Hindu, Muslim or Christian. In the capitalistic world that we live in, money is the biggest driving force for most crimes,” said the star actor.

Film Dishoom – featuring Indian actors John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez in major roles – is an action-packed movie. A Pak-India cricket match is the highlight of the film.

During a series of events in the film, one of the Indian cricketers goes missing only 36 hours prior to the match. According to the Indian media reports, actor Saqib Saleem’s character (highly inspired by Virat Kohli) in the film has been presented as a cricketer who is on top of his game.
