‘Displeased’ PTI chief avoids NA appearance


As a result of the fiery bouncers by the defense minister, the skipper decided not to enter into the field. While members took to the National Assembly (NA), Imran Khan’s seat remained vacant during the joint session of the Parliament.

Khan’s loyalist and chief of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rasheed defended him saying that the Nawaz-league ‘disgraced’ Imran Khan in a planned manner.

Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief, Maulana Fazlur Rahman – considered to be a top political rival of Imran Khan – referred to yesterday’s episode at the assembly as ‘tit for tat’.

PMLN’s Iqbal Zafar Jhagra although remained away from the heated debate yesterday, however termed it the ‘anger of young party fellows’.

Yesterday, the PTI chairman had returned to the National Assembly after seven months of boycott, wherein he was welcomed with the chants ‘Mafi Mango, Mafi Mango’ – apologize, apologize.
