Those demanding ‘do more’ in past are now demanding cooperation: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that past rulers not only enslaved themselves but the whole nation at the hands of some “super powers”, ARY News reported.

Addressing students belonging to Balochistan in the federal capital, the premier maintained that individuals and nations can’t survive without ideology, self-belief and self-reliance but the past rulers failed to understand the fact.

“Now, we will not fight any other country’s war and put our interests first,” said the PM.

He maintained that he always proposed a peaceful and negotiation-based solution for Afghanistan but was ignored.

“Now those who always said ‘do more’ are now demanding cooperation for talks in Afghan peace,” said the PM.

He said that Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah sacrificed everything during his struggle for the creation of Pakistan.

“He was opposed even by some Muslims back then but today, as we see India and the deplorable condition Muslims are living there, even Quaid-e-Azam’s opponents can see that the demand for Pakistan was justified,” said the premier.

The premier urged the youth to educate themselves and the future generations about the ideology of Pakistan.
