Doctor gunned down in Karachi

KARACHI: In continuation of slayings of professionals including lawyers, doctors and engineers, another senior doctor was shot dead in the city today, ARY News reported.

A medico-legal officer of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) was gunned down in a broad daylight in Delhi Colony area. A chauffer of Dr. Memon was also killed in firing by the criminals. The deceased driver was identified as Ashiq Hussain.

Dr. Memon was going his home in a car when armed men targeted him.

Police have begun their investigation into the killing.

Meanwhile, targeted operations by law enforcers are also going on alongside, which have failed to yield intended results so far as no respite has been witnessed in the killings so far.
