Sterling advances to 382.31 from yesterday’s 380.69; one-year forward is 396.54, translating into 3.7 % annualised rupee depreciation. Garment exporters to Birmingham are hedging six-month receivables near 384, maintaining healthy forward premiums.
Saudi Riyal (SAR) – 74.57
SAR edges marginally lower to 74.5715; 12-month forward is 76.76, an annualised 2.9 %—still the narrowest spread among principal remittance channels. Exchange houses report consistent foot traffic from pilgrims securing rates ahead of the February Umrah season.
UAE Dirham (AED) – 76.14
