According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) three wanted terrorists were killed in an intelligence based operation in Tarel valley near Challas in Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday.
Two security men were also killed in the shootout with the terrorists, ISPR said.
The militants killed in the operation, were involved in attacks on buses, tourists and the personnel of security forces.
The forces troops also killed five militants in Khyber Agency when they attempted to attack a check-post last night.
