GUJRAT: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) leader, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that the law and order situation in Punjab is alarming, traders and industrialists have been given extortion receipts openly – ARY News reports.
Talking to media after addressing the trader convention on Friday, Pervez Elahi said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) had made loud claims at the time of elections, but it gave nothing to the people except inflation.
He added that unemployment increased manifolds due to power and gas shortfall, due to which every individual is suffering.
Commenting on health facilities, the ex-CM Punjab said that the free medicines which were provided to the patients in the emergency wards of hospitals were also abandoned, whereas educational institutes were also ruined, which were established under his reign after making huge efforts.
He added that PMLN has an enmity with his party, but the people should not be made victims of that.
Responding to a question about alleged irregularities worth billions of rupees by PMLN in Nandi Pur Power Project, Elahi said that the matter is sub judice and it is hoped that a justified verdict shall be given on it.
He further urged the Government to construct Kala-Bagh Dam for ending power and water crises for it has got a huge mandate.
