Dance and acting have been interlinked to one another in one and another form, forming irresistible combination that has been appealing the audiences for decades.

This might have been the sole factor that the audiences have never felt awkward to see dancers turning actors or actresses performing on the screen who make them swoon with their dance moves.

The big and bright faces in Bollywood today have struggled and striven hard to maintain their place in the film industry. However, one might not be familiar with some of the names who started out their career as background dancers. It really makes for a great throwback to see where these celebrities started out from!

Take a look at celebs who begun their career in the Bollywood as background dancer.

 

SHAHID KAPOOR:

 

From being the adorable Complain Boy to a background dancer in songs like Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaye in Taal to Mujhko Hui Na Khabar from Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Shahid has done it all before he shined bright as a Bollywood star.

 

KAJAL AGARWAL

The Singham actress, Kajal Agarwal, also danced beside Aishwarya Rai in the movie Kyon Ho Gaya in a song called Uljhane.

 

DIA MIRZA

Former Miss Asia Pacific Dia Mirza turned Bollywood actress, Dia Mirza started her career dancing the backdrop in south Indian films. She was seen in the song, En Swasa Kaatre.

 

ISHA SHARVANI

Shahid wasn’t the only background dancer in Taal who made it big. Actress Isha Sharvani was in the same song Kahin Aag Lage dancing in the backdrops.

 

DAISY SHAH

She is a famous one as the actor she was dancing beside, Salman Khan in the Tere Naam song Lagan Lagi, was the one to launch her as an actress in Bollywood.

 

SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT

After engineering Sushant was really attracted to Bollywood and kicked off his career dancing the backdrops.

 

NEETU CHANDRA

Famous for her role in the film Garam Masala, even Neetu Chandra started out dancing in the background in the music video, Mera Babu Chail Chabila.

 

REMO D’SOUZA

From being an ace choreographer to being a director in Bollywood, Remo D’souza has shinned bright in all departments. But his passion for dancing started off in the backdrops of films.

FARAH KHAN

The famous choreographer turned director was a dancer in the film Sadaa Suhagan back in 1986. The song was Govinda’s Hum Hain Naujawan.

 

SAROJ KHAN

Bollywood’s beloved Master Ji has been making many stars dance to her tunes for years, but she too started off by dancing in the background. In the famous song ‘Aaiye Meharbaan’, from the Ashok Kumar and Madhubala film Howrah Bridge Saroj Khan was seen dancing in the backdrop dressed as a guy.
