10 bomb-making factories destroyed in Karachi in a year: police

In an annual police performance report submitted to the IG Police, the report said incidents of abduction for ransom in interior Sindh have declined.

The report brags that better strategy of police kept law and order situation under control across the province.

Taking all-out credit for prevalence of peace in the city, report said a business of Rs 80 billion was recorded during Eid due to measures taken by the police.

The report said more than 300 terrorists of banned outfits were killed from July 2014 to date. While 998 criminals were also shot dead in police encounters while 16,583 suspects were apprehended.

In difference police operations, seven target killers and 96 kidnappers were killed. The cops also recovered 663 kilograms of explosives, 64 suicide vests, 599 kalashinkovs, 54 rockets, 19 LMGs, 13 G3s, five improvised explosives devices and 917 hand grenades in difference raids and operations.

The police report claimed that all no-go areas have also been cleared in the city.
