Over 10,000 suspects arrested in countrywide raids: report

The federal government had announced the National Action Plan against terrorism after the attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School on 16th December 2014, which left 150 people including 135 children and nine staff members dead.

The report states that 10,616 suspects were rounded up in 14,886 crackdowns. It was further stated in the report that 2,535 persons were arrested for misuse of loud speakers whereas 540 people were nabbed over hate speeches.

NAP implementation report also says that 3,440 illegal Afghan immigrants have been deported from the country since December 24, 2014.

Twenty four persons were taken into custody in 18 illegal money transaction cases, the report mentions.

It also discloses that 25.5 million of mobile connections across the country have been verified so far.
