JAMRUD: Terrorist attacks against polio vaccination drive in Khyber tribal region left at least 12 people dead and several wounded, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Three attacks at polio vaccination campaign in Jamrud in Khyber tribal region claimed 12 persons including a child and personnel of Levies and Khasadar force.
Bomb attacks in Lashoro area of the region’s Jamrud district targeted the campaign to get rid of the crippling disease in Pakistan, one of the three countries where polio has been a major public health threat. Other two countries are neighboring Afghanistan and Nigeria.
