SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: At least 12 persons were killed, whilst 6 were injured due to an armed clash between 2 confronting groups in Shaktoi area of the South Waziristan agency on Tuesday – ARY News reports.
According to official sources, both the groups belong to native Mehsud tribe, who came face to face earlier today and had a furious exchange of fire. As a consequence, 12 people were killed on the spot, whilst 6 others were injured.
Sources told that out of the 6 injured, 2 are in precarious condition.
Our correspondent Haji Gul reported from the South Waziristan tribal region that the incident occurred in continuity of the fight that evolved from yesterday, when unknown assailants of one of the group indiscriminately fired on a vehicle, killing 5 people on the spot.
