Rangers, police on high alert for security on Chehlum, LB polls

According to details, the meeting was held at Headquarters Pakistan Rangers Sindh with Gen Akbar in chair, in order to jointly tackle any potential terrorism threat.

It reviewed the security arrangements with regard to Chehlum and forthcoming LB elections in Karachi.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner Karachi, senior officials of police and Rangers.

On the occasion, the DG Rangers said that Sindh Rangers and police have been on high alert and the law enforcers are conducting snap-checking in all major cities across Sindh.

He appealed the religious figures to assist security agencies in eliminating sectarianism and general public to immediately inform about any suspected activities at Rangers Helpline 1101.
