MURREE: At least 15 people were killed while 25 others were injured after 2 coasters accidentally fell into a deep trench while returning from Murree – ARY News reports.
According to details, passenger coasters fell into the trench near Saalgiraan Bridge. Eye witnesses told that the incident occurred while over taking.
Meanwhile, rescue teams immediately rushed to the site and so far some 15 dead bodies have been shifted to PIMS Hospital and Poly Clinic. Whereas, local residents on their own took out the injured from the wreckage of buses and shifted them to hospitals in their personal vehicles.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif have taken notice of the incident and directed the District Coordination Officer (DCO) and Chief Police Officer (CPO) to reach the site and supervise the rescue operation.
Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities to insure best medical treatment of the injured.
