16 fishermen missing after launch sinks

KARACHI: Sixteen fishermen drowned when their launch sunk near Mubarak Village in Karachi on Sunday, ARY News reports.

According to Hawks Bay Emergency Response Centre, the sixteen fishermen were aboard the boat, named Dhonda, when it sank due to the strong current.

The staff of Maritime Security Agency has been dispatched to recover the fishermen.

It should be noted that the Comissioner Karachi has prohibited the  citizens and fishermen for going into open sea due to rough conditions.
