Speaking to media, Ghulam Haider Jamali said that 16,000 security officials including personnel of traffic police will be deployed along the procession routes in Karachi.
He said that special arrangements have been made in other parts of the province as well.
The acting IG Sindh said that investigation of police officer’s target killing is underway.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the Home Department Sindh had imposed a ban on pillion riding inKarachi and Sukkur divisions, which will remain effective from Ramadan 19 to 21.
This has been decided keeping in view the terrorism threats and to ensure law and order in Sindh on the eve of Youm-e-Ali.
