1ST ODI: Pakistan vs South Africa scheduled at 14:00 PST

TOP NEWS

CAPE TOWN: The first of three ODIs between Pakistan and South Africa will be played on November 24 (Sunday) at Newlands, Cape Town, ARY News reported.

Pakistan had ended the losing streak in T20 with the victory in second T20 at Cape Town and will looking for the same in ODI’s.

Pakistan will be hoping that their batting line-up will find the solidity that lacked in UAE. The main concern of national cricket team will be on preventing the collapses that have dogged them recently.

Green shirts have never defeated South Africa in a bilateral ODI series, but will fancy taking an early lead this time, purely because of the timing of the first match.

On the other hand, South Africa, who had dominated the ODI series in UAE with 4-1 series win, now with veteran allrounder Jacques Kallis back in the mix will feel more comfortable and will look to show the same performance in their home ground just like UAE.

Records shows that South Africa is ahead of Pakistan with 46 wins out of 68 matches played between them while Pakistan remained successful in 21 matches.

Furthermore, Pakistan’s record in South Africa is not impressive, Green shirts

have won only 8 matches out of 26 played in South Africa.

This will be the first match for Pakistan against host South Africa in Cape Town after 2007, the match will start at 14:00 PST.
