KHANPUR: Over 20 school-going children were injured as their van plunged into a gorge, ARY News reported Thursday.
According to hospital administration, five of the children were in critical condition.
The van carrying more than 20 children was on its way to school through decrepit roads when it accidently fell into the ravine. The children onboard were aged between six and 12 years.
The injured children were shifted to hospitals Taxilla and Islamabad due to inadequate facilities at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. Besides there no electricity at the Tehsil hospital for last three days.
Parents of the children blocked main road stretching from Khanpur to Haripur and protested against lack of medical facilities at the hospital.
