Police and law enforcing agencies had cordoned off the area and started an investigation into the incident.

Earlier, a suicide blast on a corner meeting of the same party in Balochistan on July 13 killed 149 people including BAP candidate Siraj Raisani– one of Pakistan’s worst-ever terror attacks .

Violence in Pakistan has dropped significantly in recent years as a result of intensified military operations against militants in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.

The military has warned of threats ahead of the polls. More than 370,000 soldiers will be deployed for security on election day.
