KARACHI: The anti-polio campaign, meant to cover 5,00,000 children in Karachi failed to meet its target, ARY News reported on Monday.
Polio teams struggled to administer drops to children in some areas where parents were reluctant to get their children vaccinated against the polio. Around 5,00,000 (0.5 million) children were to be covered in the anti-polio drive, but it could not be met.
Approximately 13,100 children could not be administered polio drops. Sources in the Sindh Health Department told that 3,987 families refused to get their children vaccinated against polio.
