KARACHI: The 38th death anniversary of famous comedian of Pakistan cinemas 'Munawar Zarif' was observed on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
Munawar Zarif, who had appeared in more than 300 films, was born in Gujranwala in the year 1940. He started his career from a Punjabi film Dandian in 1961 and got breakthrough in the film Hath Jori in 1964.
During the 1961-76 he worked in around three hundred films ad was awarded three times with the Nigar Award on his out-standing performance in Bharo Phool Barsao, Zeenath and Ishaq Deewana.
He was died on April 29, 1976.
