4500 MWs of electricity soon to induce in national grid, says Dastagir
LAHORE: Federal Minister of Commerce and Trade, Khurram Dastagir has claimed that an additional 4500 megawatts of electricity will soon be induced in the national system – ARY News reports.
Addressing a ceremony of economic journalists, Khurram Dastagir said that the Government is striving to end longstanding outages in the country and an additional 4500 MWs of electricity will soon be inducted in the national grid. He told that the Nandipur Power Project will start generating 100 MWs of electricity, in the next two to three weeks.
Dastagir told that the Federation is consulting all the provincial governments for increasing the power production and eradicating extremism from the state.
Moreover, the Minister of Commerce and Trade said that the Government of Pakistan fulfilled all the formalities in acquiring the GSP-plus status.
