6 students sent to jail for inciting violence in PU
LAHORE: A district court on Monday ordered to transfer 6 arrested students to jail in Punjab University Violence Case – ARY News reports.
According to details, police produced these arrested accused before the judicial magistrate after the completion of a 3-day physical remand. Police requested the magistrate for extending the demand of the accused charged with stirring up violence in Punjab University and committing robbery.
During the hearing, the counsel of the arrested students presented arguments that the police showed its performance by arresting innocent students. He added that due to this act of the police, educational career of the students is feared to be devastated.
The court after listening to the arguments of the attorneys, rejected police plea to extend the remand and ordered to send the students to jail.
