7-year-old girl applies for a job at Google, gets heart-warming reply from CEO
CALIFORNIA: A seven-year-old girl has written a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai asking for a job and the CEO’s reply to the little girl left her completely delighted.
Chloe Bridgewater sent a handwritten letter to the tech giant in which she noted her computer skills and her interest in working in a place where she can “sit on bean bags and go down slides”.
The letter, first published by Business Insider, makes a pretty solid case for hiring Ms Bridgewater. She wrote in it that she is experienced in tablet usage, computer robot games, swimming, spelling, reading, and sums.
According to a report in Business Insider, Chloe had written the letter after being encouraged by her dad Andy Bridgewater. When Chloe had asked her dad about ideal places to work, Andy told Chloe that Google was one of them as the company is known for its perks and cutting-edge work in technology.
Andy also told Chloe that if she wants to be a part of Google, then she has to start early. This made Chloe write the letter in her own way. In the letter, Chloe wrote that she liked computers, robots, and tablets, and was a good student in school. Apart from working at Google, she also wants to work at a chocolate factory and swim at the Olympics. She added that the only other letter she wrote was to Father Christmas.
Here’s what the Google CEO replied…
Pichai, on the other hand, replied by infusing complete confidence in the young girl. “I’m glad that you like robots and computers, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think that if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything that you set your mind to – from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school. All the best to you and your family,” he wrote.
