Seven soldiers have embraced martyrdom in fight against terorrists.

According to Director-General ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, operation Zarb-e-Azb and Khyber two are making steady progress to clear areas further close to Pak-Afghan Border.

Heavy losses were incurred on terrorists.

Terrorists are being dislodged from bases and they are fleeing to border. So far 80 terrorists have been killed and approximately 100 injured in this phase.

He said the operation will continue with full force till total elimination of terrorists from these areas.

The military began its latest offensive in Khyber in October 2014, four months after a similar operation in the North Waziristan district which was triggered by a bloody Taliban attack on Karachi airport that sank faltering peace talks.

The school massacre, Pakistan’s deadliest ever terror attack prompted the government to announce a tough crackdown on militant groups.

A moratorium on executions in terror cases was lifted and the constitution was amended to set up military courts for the speedy trial of terrorism cases.
