Aamir’s 'PK' fails to beat the opening record of SRK’s 'HNY'
Aamir Khan-starrer the most awaited film of the year “PK” has minted around 50 crore in two days in domestic Indian market the trade experts of Bollywood expect that the film will do a steady business in upcoming days.
PK the film of ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani released on 19th December, did a business of 26 crores in its first day of release and it managed to earn 29 crores on the second day according to a leading economist of Hindi film industry.
The economic expert Girish Johar also said, “It has collected at least Rs.55 crore in first two days. On the first day, it earned about Rs.26 crore. The next day, it managed to mint Rs.29 crore. They will earn profit, but expectations were higher”.
The film that is about Amir Khan who plays an alien in it,also stars Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput in pivotal roles. PK is the fourth film after Kick, Happy New Year and Singham Returns that has crossed 50 crore in two days of it release but it has failed to beat the opening day record of Shah Rukh Khan’s film Happy New Year amounting around 44 crores.
