Pakistan side dominated the first day’s play as Younis Khan and Azhar Ali scored centures.

Green shirts captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and put his side to bat first.

Younis Khan scored his third consecutive century in the series as he is unbeaten at 111 runs from 155 balls whereas Azhar Ali is also not out at 101 runs from 223 balls.

Players from across the world have congratulated Younis on his recent form.

Australians could only dismiss two batsmen on the first day as their bowlers were hammered to all the corners of the park.

Pacer Mitchell Johnson dismissed Mohammad Hafeez after the opener scored 45 runs whereas Ahmed Shehzad was out leg before off the bowling of spinner Nathan Lyon after making 35 runs.
