ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court (AC) in Islamabad on Monday announced the verdict of former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf’s plea to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL), ARY News reports.

The petition was heard by AC Judge Mohammad Basheer. Defence lawyer Farooq H. Naek pleaded that the name of his client should be removed from ECL as he has to go abroad and will return to the country.

An officer of the Interior Ministry presented his report to the court.

Announcing the verdict, the court said that it is not in their jurisdiction to remove the former Prime Minister’s name from the list and the Interior Ministry should be contacted for it.
