ACC chief rules out possibility of Int'l cricket revival in Pakistan

LAHORE: Chief Executive Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Ashraful Haq said chances of revival of international cricket under the current circumstances in Pakistan were next to none, ARY News reported.

Talking to media after a meeting of ACC Development Committee in Lahore, Haq said ACC would continue its sincere endeavours to revive international cricket in Paksitan, “However in current security circumstances resumption of international cricket is not possible,” he added.

He said the steps taken by the ACC were evident. “Four of the big teams participated in the World T20 belonged to Asia,” Haq said.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi said the ACC meeting discussed promotion of cricket.

He reiterated the new ICC president will be from Pakistan.
