Mehmood Khan Achakzai, in an interview to an Afghan newspaper, opposed Pakistan’s policy on Afghan refugees. He termed KP ‘Afghans’ territory’ and said the Afghan refugees can live there without any fear.

“We won’t let anyone harass Afghan refugees living in Pakistan,” he said.

The PkMAP chief said if the refugees are being harassed in any part of country, they may come to KP for there no one can ask them to show refugee card.

Khattak denounces Achakzai’s statement

On the other hand, KP CM Pervez Khattak turned down Achakzai’s statement saying that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) had already announced their decision in favor of Pakistan 1947.

He said that the statement of the PkMAP chief is condemnable and that the people cannot imagine Pakistan without KP.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has said the statement is tantamount to disrespecting the ones who laid their lives for the homeland.

In a sarcastic remark, he felicitated Achakzai for all the love he has for Afghanistan.
