ISLAMABAD: Acting US Ambassador, Thomas Williams has met the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan here on Monday and exchanged views with him on the regional security and bilateral relations between the two countries – ARY News reports.
On this occasion, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that both the states have cordial ties in all fields, whilst Pakistan seeks these ties to be strengthened further.
Speaking about the withdrawal of NATO forces from Afghanistan, Nisar told that Pakistan is acting upon a neutral policy regarding the current scenario of the region and transparency in bilateral relations will further enhance Pak-US ties.
Moreover, Thomas Williams expressed his hopes that the new internal security policy of the Government of Pakistan will help eradicating terrorism and extremism from here.
