Action soon against black sheep in police dept: IG Sindh
KARACHI: Inspector General Police Sindh Iqbal Mehmood said operation against the black sheep within the police department will be launched soon, ARY News reported.
In a meeting with SITE Association of Trade and Industries, the IG Sindh said police would strive at its best to restore peace in the city.
He admitted the inadequate of police in the provincial capital. “Only one policeman is catering 1200 persons keeping in view the demography of Karachi,” said the IG.
Mehmood said police force would expel all criminal elements from Karachi. “We will make police helpline 15, special investigation unit and special branches more operational to enhance overall performance of the police.”
The traders told the IG that snatching incidents had surged in SITE area and demanded measures to curb them.
