Advisor to CM Abdul Majid Abro survives blast in Quetta

QUETTA: Advisor to the Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Majid Abro was injured along with his body guard after a roadside bomb exploded near his convoy here on Saturday – ARY News reports.

According to police officials, a roadside bomb exploded when the convoy of Advisor to the CM Balochistan on Zakat and Usher, Abdul Majid Abro was passing near the Airport police station.

As a result, Abdul Majid and his bodyguard received minor injuries however his vehicle was severely damaged due to the blast.

Meanwhile, CM Abdul Malik Baloch telephoned his Advisor and inquired about his condition. He condemned the incident and sought an inquiry report from the police officials.

Abro while registering an FIR in the Airport police station told media that he was the target of the blast, yet the Almighty Allah saved him.

He urged the provincial government to step up security of the provincial ministers and advisors, adding that at least bullet-proof vehicles should be provided to them.
